Headboards
Lang and Potter have been manufacturing high quality headboards for decades, partnering with Vispring to supply their headboards since 1998.
Hand-built at our Plympton site by our experienced Joinery team and upholsterers, our wide range of headboards can be shaped and styled to complement any sleeping quarters.
Modern headboards are often overlooked in importance, treated as little more than a nice feature. Lang and Potter go deeper with our products to develop headboards that make subtle but impactful styling cues, enhancing the aesthetic of the bedroom. Using industry-leading, ethically sourced materials, we go beyond mass-market headboards and deliver high end bespoke products.
Bringing together traditional construction techniques with cutting-edge manufacturing, we create durable and distinctive products that balance comfort and style while still remaining true to their core purpose. Lang and Potter helm seats are available for both indoor and outdoor configurations, with a number of customisations, from flip arms and adjustable bolsters to embroidered logos or embossed insignia, providing the high-end furniture that Lang and Potter’s industry-wide reputation is built upon.

Joinery
Working closely with our Development team, the experienced Lang and Potter Joinery department can construct any furniture required for your project. By merging advanced technology — such as CNC and laser surveying equipment — with traditional methods honed over decades of production, our team can work with a wide range of wood types, or PVC, to bring your vision to life.
Sofas, chairs, stools, backrests, and headboards are our forte, but Lang and Potter can turn their hand to any bespoke item you require. Whether fitted or freestanding, our UK-based workshop can produce strong, stylish furniture substrates, ready for finishing by our upholstery experts.

Soft Furnishings
Crafted in Plymouth, using the finest, responsibly sourced materials, our soft furnishings range strikes the perfect balance between durability and comfort. Merging the latest technology with traditional methods our bespoke, shaped bedlinen is templated by hand and our quilts are finished on a CNC Quilting machine. Years of providing clients with high-end soft furnishings have provided us with a wealth of experience fine-tuning our products to an outstanding degree.
Handrails
Upholstered handrails are the definition of handcrafted, they require the touch of an experienced craftsperson. Lang & Potter’s handrail specialists are among our most elite upholsterers, using classic, traditional methods passed down through generations to deliver beautiful and functional results.
Upholstered handrails add elegance and sophistication to a stairwell, providing comfort and warmth to the touch. The customisation of material choices, stitching styles, and colour schemes allows for a high level of personalisation. It’s the little touches that can truly elevate the styling of a project.

Carpets
At Lang and Potter, we have a skilled carpet fitting team based in Plymouth, primarily serving the marine sector. We use high-quality carpets in all our projects and work closely with our business partner, Fibre Flooring, who supplies ethically sourced, sustainable, 100% wool carpets.
Our team can provide fitted or loose-lay carpets and runners, with colour-matched binding for areas that require regular access on board. Paired with top-quality Cloud 9 Acoustic underlay, this solution offers excellent soundproofing and enhanced comfort.
Mattress & Toppers
Lang and Potter mattresses are comfortable yet supportive. The unique properties of the Organic natural fibres used in our products sourced from market leaders offers a luxurious feel with excellent performance.
Available in a range of sizes and thicknesses, with custom shaping made to pattern, our experienced craftspeople can manufacture a mattress to your exact specifications. All our mattresses are constructed from responsibly sourced materials and built in the UK, ready for dispatch nationwide.
We can further enhance the comfort and longevity of our mattresses with bespoke mattress toppers. These quilted products are crafted from the highest-quality materials using our specialist Mammut machinery, elevating your experience to the ultimate in relaxation.
Protection Covers
Property needs protecting to maintain its value, function, and longevity. At Lang & Potter, our Covers Department creates bespoke protection covers to keep your furniture or equipment safe. While we have specialised in marine furniture for decades, our covers can be tailored to suit any item.
We use a selection of hard-wearing, waterproof, UV-resistant, lightweight materials, all designed for durability and ease of fitting, with a variety of fixing methods available.
Our experienced Technical Specialists can advise you on the most suitable cover type and fitting method for your project. Depending on the complexity of the task, we can use traditional hand patterning techniques or have our Development Team carry out a laser survey of your property.

Heavy Textiles
Our Heavy Textiles division provides protective covers for a wide range of outdoor and indoor applications. These covers are designed to be robust, waterproof, and capable of performing to a high standard in any environment.
Lang and Potter specialise in covers for marine vessels of all classes, from pleasure craft and tenders to commercial and military applications. Our expertise in this sector also enables us to produce high-quality bespoke covers for clients who need to protect vehicles, trailers, and agricultural equipment.
We have extensive experience in fabricating netting products for sporting venues, horticultural projects, segregation, and fencing tasks. We also provide padded covers, offering enhanced safety for a range of uses, from protecting equipment in transit to serving as impact guards at sporting events.

Our technical specialists can advise on suitable materials and design criteria for your cover, based on your specific requirements in conjunction with our seam sealing machines allow us to work with all variety of materials (pvc and woven) so we have all bases covered.
Glass
Lang & Potter’s Glass Division provides high-quality, bespoke glass products to the corporate, commercial, and domestic sectors. Our experienced Technical Specialists can supply toughened, laminated glass in a variety of thicknesses for projects as diverse as shower screens, balustrades, gymnasiums, splashbacks, glass for furniture, as well as supplying standard float glass including greenhouse glass.
Lang & Potter also supply made-to-measure mirrors, available in a range of tints and edge finishes to suit your exact specifications. We specialise in the provision of double-glazed units and fire glass. If fitting is required, we have a dedicated department to support you with that too. All our glasswork is carried out at our site in the South West of England, and we offer delivery across the UK.
